Joe, Sounds fair mate. All I can say that is clear to add to this is I dont believe in beating around the bush. Never have. If it is clear that "A" isnt the way, then move on to "B" etc and bypass "A". That is the way I see it. Hope that clears things up. — Remove the anti-spammer stuff

Response:

I’m not Kent, but I have used the Mirage mask and now use nasal pillows. I had no sores or problems with either but find the nasal pillows much more comfortable and less likely to leak. They are also easier to keep clean, IMO. They also work great with my beard and moustache (I presume this will not a problem for your sister, however :-) ). But there is nothing wrong with the Mirage mask either. I had no trouble with it except for occasional leaks when I rolled over in my sleep. I got used to it. People report sores and pimples and leaks and gouges and various and sundry facial dings from about every mask setup available. Usually it appears to be because they have not got the masks on correctly, or the masks and gear are put together improperly, or they have a missing or wrong-sized component, or they have particularly sensitive skin. In any of these cases, a little flight time and they get it right.
