You get a *nod*nod*nod* and a *grrrr* from me on that…. I complain to friends that I’m tired, then later say I can sleep. They can’t make any sense of it… but then again, neither can I…         -p- -and I was left to wander alone  in this desolate land….  - peng(rms)TE16

am……up again at 7:00 am……when I do finally go to sleep it is fitfull and not very satisfying.  At about 11:00 am I am BACK in bed till about 1:00 pm…..at about 5:00 pm I am BACK in bed till about 8:00 pm.  I can’t get away from this whacky cycle and like alot of you guys on here—–I am staring at this computer screen till my eyes bulge and actually GLOW red! (taking effexor—150 mg/daily) Ugh!  Whatta life!

Response:

Undress and crawl into bed about 10 pm.  Read and (usually) drink a bottle of beer for a while until I start to doze off.  Usually I leave my radio tuned to a classical music station.  Usually I wake up about 5 am.           Of course, some nights sleep won’t come and then I just read and hope I get sleepy.  Sometimes I turn on TV.  The knife sale on Home Shopping Network often puts me to sleep, for some reason.  –

Response:

leave the t.v. set on all night so it will wake me up in the morning.  i also leave one light on

So… what’s your bedtime routine?   I read for at least 30 minutes before I turn out the light.  I almost always listen to some kind of instrumental music, playing it repeatedly through the night if possible.

work on computer till I can’t see straight, then go to bed.  Used to read till I fell asleep, but I figet too much to keep it up for long. So… what’s your bedtime routine?

For me, it seems to involve aligning myself with the bed and then executing a (hopefully) controlled crash into it. I may not be awake enough to go through the normal routines… Never fear, I’ll be awake at least twice more during the night for at least short periods of time. * Several last-minute retrievals of ASD * Watch Star Trek reruns * Turn off PC  (cat starts preparing for bed when he hears the PC-shutting-down-music) * Turn off TV * Turn off lights * Get some water * Get in bed * Read awhile * Listen to Earth Children series audio-tapes * Cat crawls under covers (after several turns around) Random thought: isn’t it AMAZING how Zoloft can give you both insomnia and drowsiness???  grrr.

didnt make ME sleepy AT ALL.

Response:

Can’t sleep.  Think it’s because I stay in bed to long in the am… makes sense to me.  A body just isn’t meant to go to bed 14 hours after it gets out of it… so trying to go to bed at midnight when you get up at 10am means your body doesn’t like it.  Guess I’m just gonna have to get out a bed earlier.  Uh, yeah, right.
