Abilify, Geodon & New Drugs..I Don't Understand
Question:
Hi, I don’t understand. How can the FDA allow Geodon, Abilify and these newer drugs for mental issues, particularly Schizophrenia to be used? Geodon had an 8 week study as well as Abilify. There is no studies on long term effects. My left arm has been numb, tingly and sore as heck for nearly a month now and I think it is due to what my central nervous system is reacting too. Along with the intense migraines or was it anxiety or worse, a minor stroke, I don’t know as of yet. What happens when you are not schiz and you are forced with jail or take the meds? Someone told me it makes you crazy. Am I crazy? I’m not trying to coerce you off your meds, you may or may not need them but what I am doing is asking you to really ask yourselves have you weighed the consequences regarding these drugs such as Abilify and Geodon knowing that no long term studies have been done? Here is a truly scary thought: Recently on CNN Headline News a ticker went by that stated the Federal Government along with the Supreme Court are close to making it law that people can be legally forced into taking mental health drugs. This is so close to former communist Russian government tactics it is really scary. I for one was deemed schizophrenic for I told a psych that my in-laws were trained by a former deputy director of the CIA (and they were, www.m2technologiesinc.com "Who We Are" section and my site www.mahlers.com/womp.htm) so the psych went on to a district judge and said "Mr. Mahler is paranoid and delusional. He believes he is followed by the CIA". Those were his exact words. Since then, everytime I am ready to play on my terms while meeting the doctors, I am told I am getting worse (mad, bad and sounding dangerous). My term is simple: Reduce my drug intake to nil and get me to see a psych that will fully go by the book of old and new and disregard past many diagnosis that were continuations of the first one. One of those diagnosis’s includes a not one, but two psychiatrists who insist that I thought I am friends with the Kennedy family and therefore, I am ill according to them. Fact is, I know I am not friends with the Kennedy’s. I’ve never met them in any form. However, I was invited into the compound by an employee while Senator Kennedy was away and that is what I told the psychs. Why did I do that you might wonder? I attempted to show that people see me as okay plain and simple. This whole time I’ve forgotten what it is like to be free of all psych meds and yearn for a morning when I wake up without a trace in my body. Can you honestly remember a time when your body was not modified and a day when you perhaps were not ill if ever? God be with you. Me, I am going to raise Cain in the courts soon enough and I will be more than happy to share everything unbiased. Cheers, William K. <snip> Geodon is the first drug they gave me, and it messed me up bad… i felt more like i was on LSD than i had before taking it after 7 days… and my pupils started dilating to huge black dots in the afternoon after 3 days of taking it…. I was paranoid before that everyone was looking at me then i took a drug that made me look like i was on drugs then people WERE looking at me funny … i stopped taking it after only 8 days, and i had a great high-energy mania with insomnia, paranoia, hallucinations and headaches for 3 days afterwards – after only taking it for 8 days….. took another 3 days after that to come back to myself in any respect. i felt like i had a metal plate in my head blocking my thoughts, the simplest tasks that i am lightening like at, like working with the computer (graphic arts) became difficult… motor skills – i became more clumsy… i wasn’t paranoid while on it except for the one hour or so right before time to take it again, my head screamed and it screamed going under while the medication worked in (like thoughts under a pillow getting muffled, dying). I am not schiz, but was prescribed it for having all the symptoms ("positive" and "negative") of schizophrenia except that i know my delusions are delusions. I don’t hear things, i see things – but my hallucinations never talk to me, and they come in waves – sometimes for days, sometimes once, sometimes for a month. Paranoia, anxiety attacks in stores and sometimes when alone, "religious" experiences, loud thinking, suicidal ideation, ranting, long incoherent sentences and conversations, etc etc etc – so the "psychotic" features are what i was prescribed the Geodon for, even though technically its not approved to treat other "ailments" than schizophrenia to my understanding – and if it works well for some, wonderful – but doctors need to be more straight up about the newness of it so the person can choose better whether they want to be a guinea pig.
