Please though don’t recommend the Predesone. I was on it once for 10 days (not related to the crohns) and I thought I would come out of my skin. I didn’t close my eyes the whole time. I don’t even want to think about ever having to take the stuff again. I feel so bad for all you who are on it. Hope all of you get better real soon so you can come off it. Hugs Cathy

Hi Marianne. Hope you are sleeping. I’m awake again tonight. From what I’ve read,Trazodone is prescribed at much higher doses as an anti-depressant and is fairly commonly used at a low dose to help with prednisone-induced insomnia. It also has some anti-spasmodic effect which is helpful with IBS symptoms. I know what you mean about the meds–I’m looking forward to pairing down my repertoire when the 6MP kicks in.

I’m not too crazy about putting any more meds into me as i already feel like a walking toxic hazard. I might look into though. I’m on day 4 of pred, and still sleeping like a baby (12 hours last night). But I know it’s only a matter of time until my face looks like a basketball and I can’t sleep, so I’ll be sure to look for you late at night when it happens. Sleep is such a waste of time anyway. haha I remember those days of prednisone. yuck. It’s been 3 or 4 years. I havent taken any medicine for almost 2 years. Hi, it’s Hanne. I’m at school while the rest of you are asleep. Maybe it is the timedifferens, but I hope you get some good sleep. I know how it feel’s not to sleep, that’s why I have stoped taking Prednisone. Hugs from Hanne
