Hi everyone, I just ran across this ng and thougt that I’d stop in and say hello. Some of you have some very good ideas and questions so first of all I’d like to invite you to join us at the Lupus Foundation of America Forums where you can find alot of our answers. I hang out on the Living with Lupus forum, but there is one for newly diagnosed, symptoms,medicines,family & friends and chatter. I have had lupus along time and am disabled and bedridden. It has attacked my skin,my heart, my liver, my lungs and most recently I have developed a brain tumor due to lupus. I also have FM which is very painful. I host a chat room on Talk City for people with Lupus and I would love for you to come join us one night, when the insomnia monster bites you, you can either clic on rooms on Talk City Home page ad write in Lupus or if you want to save the room in your favorites folder use the URL. http://www.talkcity.com/chat.cgi?room=Lupus I start checking in around 11p.m. after everyone goes to bed. Keep checkng until you find someone on or send me a email and I’ll come in. We lupies are currently working on a few exciting projects that you may not be aware of. First we are making quilts to tour the country t promote Lupus Awareness. We ar also making a memorial quilt for those who have passed. We would really ike yu to help us by making some squares for the quilts. If you’d like details please let me know. Secondly we are writing letters to our US Representatives to support 1111, the Lupus Bill for Federal funding for research. If you haven’t written your letter yet please do soon. The passing of this bill may bring us closer to finding the cause and hopefully a cure for this terrile disease.
