Had first sleep study.
Question:
Aaron, I have congestion from allergies, I find the nasal sprays work best if you uses them right before getting into bed. I also had a problem using the Flonase every night. It gave me nose bleeds, so they switched me to Nasonex. If the Flonase gives you problems, be sure to ask them to switch you to one for the other sprays. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Aaron Pawlyk wrote: > OK, this is a bit long and very much an over tired core dump of > my sleep study experience. All those dreadful wires! It seemed for me that I tolerated them a lot better on the second go-round (I had a study and a separate titration instead of a split-night like you had). As to wearing the mask…. I wear glasses during the day (although I seem to not want to wear them when I’m doing close work because I only have distance vision troubles), and I wear a CPAP at night. So there’s ALWAYS something perched on my nose. <wink> >And it took 8 cm H2O preasure
I don’t know if I’m iron-nosed, but I’ve always (or almost always) found my 15 cm to feel like "a good fresh breath of air." My sister-in-law, OTOH, thinks 6 cm is sleeping in a hurricane. The last I heard was she was trying to work up to 12 cm.

Sounds to me like you had a pretty normal experience, Aaron. Better than average, actually. On my first sleep test I slept under an hour the whole night. Just remember that the sleep test is not supposed to be a vacation. You’ll be posting soon about how good you feel using your CPAP.
