had my first lap
Question:
Shannon, You’re right. It’s worth a try. Everybody reacts differently. As far as timing of side effects, I had a very depressive reaction within just hours after the shot. I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe it was just coincidental, but they told me it was common. I had bone pain within a couple days after. I hope you have a good result with the lupron. I wish you luck. In the meantime, we’re here if you need us. Laura

Dear Shannon, I just started Lupron Nov 9, right after my lap. The first four days were really hard, but it did get better. Be sure not to push yourself too hard. Plan on resting a lot the first week, the more I pushed myself, the worse the side effects were. The endo pain was hard this first month, but I WILL get my next injection Dec 9. My biggest complaint is lack of short term memory and insomnia, but I agree that Lupron is worth a try. Every woman has diffent side effects–I wish I could tell you exactly which ones to expect. If you have any side effects that concern you, please call your Dr. right away–even at night–that is what they get paid the big bucks for!!! Good Luck., and I will pray that Lupron does us both a world of good. Love hugs and kisses, Jenny

Whats up with that? My uterus is tipped so far back my doctor said its a wonder its still in my body. My uterus is irritating my bowels and bladder. I decided to try the lupron shots i’ve heard good and bad about the drug and i was wondering if you are going to have sideffects when do they usually start? I have heard some women say that lupron has been the drug from hell and others say it was wonderful i have decided to just give it a shot it cant be any worse then the hell i have been through in the past 5 years. Maybe a lot, maybe not… each person’s intestines have individual twists and turns, though there are some standard patterns. The pictures in the physiology textbooks are idealized or averages. The intestines are probably supposed to be at least partly behind the uterus; the question is whether they are _stuck_ to it with adhesions. My uterus is tipped so far back my doctor said its a wonder its still in my body. My uterus is irritating my bowels and bladder.
Did he remove adhesions, reattach the uterus in a more forward position? Or was this just a diagnostic lap? I decided to try the lupron shots i’ve heard good and bad about the drug and i was wondering if you are going to have sideffects when do they usually start?
Mine started slow, except for the intramuscular pain – which I still have in the leg muscle where the first shot was given, even though it’s been ten months. I had them bad enough by the end of the first month to be dubious about getting the second shot. I had hot flashes (in March in a cold house, kind of nice
), some mood swings, and noticeable memory and intelligence loss which was why I went off it. I did get pain relief but I also wanted to get back to "normal" so I could go to a doctor who would remove the endo and not the organs and he could see the endo… still procrastinating (thanks to continuing pain relief – not perfect but it did help me). =Tamar
