I'm B-a-a-c-k.

Question:

Good that you are back. You had us worried there for a little time. No go and buy yourself a new motor bike or do something else outrageous, like Dave Y. suggested. Hugs and purrs Elisabet and Hugo Katt

ROFL!! A motor bike. Sounds fun in theory. I told DH this and he said due to my driving record, maybe *he* better buy the Harley and I can be his "bitch."  I took great offense at that one till it was explained that’s biker lingo for "chick who rides on back of Harley". I’d probably be the first bitch to fall off and he wouldn’t notice I was missing for 100 miles. My luck isn’t running too good lately and I better not push it.   :)

Response:

I’m so sorry to hear of the way the doctor and nurse treated you. Lots of best wishes and purrs for you to get well soon and for the new doctor to be one that is willing to communicate with you and help you, — Polonca & Soncek

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I fired the cardiologist because he was impossible to communicate with, didn’t listen and didn’t care either. <snip

Response:

Welcome home and tell us why you fired your cardiologist. Glad you are holding together. Will your new doctor make you better? CATherine

I fired the cardiologist because he was impossible to communicate with, didn’t listen and didn’t care either. I had had chest pain for weeks and couldn’t even get an appt. with them – the nurse would call and say "Take your Nexium–all your bloodwork, stress test, thalium scan and EKG are normal." End of story. I finally got quite unruly over the phone before they would agree to schedule an arteriogram that showed a mild heart attack and oneof the grafts from the bypass has narrowed. I just can’t get any information from him. He said very curtly "There’s nothing that can be done." Slapped two prescriptions on the table and left the room. I felt I *deserved* a little more information than that. I called the office the next morning, and the prissy little nurse suggested I make a followup appointment — in 4 weeks.  I am just not ready to accept that without a second opinion at least. So that’s scheduled for tomorrow. Yall think some good thoughts for me. Sherry

Sorry to hear that you have been treated so shabbily.  To my way of thinking, more doctors (particularly surgeons) should have cats at home to remind them of their humble place in the world.  Without cats they get *way* too uppity and arrogant.  I mean, having cats has done us all kinds of good!  Without cats this ng and catslaves would not exist and we wouldn’t have met eachother (cybernetically speaking)!   tish PS.  Minor purr request for Columbine – she goes in to be spayed tomorrow.  I think that the worst thing for her will be going without her late night snack tonight and breakfast tomorrow (she *loves* her foodbowl!).  I know that she’ll be fine and I trust the vets, but the poor love will be feeling rather sorry for herself by this time tomorrow.  After she has recovered from surgery we will allow her outside for supervised play sessions.  She has been largely confined indoors for these last 3 1/2 months (since we got her), so she is greatly looking forward to a bit of outside time.   — What’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine too.  Columbine cat

Purrs for the next cardiologist to be a good one. I hate that when the people who should be caring for you treat you like sh*t. Unfortunately, I’ve been there, too. Too many times. — Marina

Wow, that’s like the Texas Vigilante’s excuse for hanging the horse thief, "It needed to be done."  Rob’s medical team has been the extreme opposite. We’ve been consulted every step of the way, told anything we wanted to know, all questions answered in every detail, and all posibilities explored. Purrs and good wishes for you to feel better and to find the Cardiac specialist that is right for you.  Don’t be afraid to check out the teaching hospitals and medical universities,  they’re usually on top of all new developments. Purrs for Sherry to find a real human being rather than a robot, and a nod nod to Tish. Cats certainly have a way of knocking arrogance out of people! And of course, uniting people from alla round the world. Perhaps we can send a kitten to the world leaders and trust that the wisdom of the Mothership sorts them out :-) PS.
