Hi Donna,     Your not alone.  Many women suffer from the hot flashes and night sweats.  A smaller number of them also experience the nausea and dizziness.  You are wise to look closely at the effects of the synthetic hormones.  Not just long term, but the short term effects as well.       Natural progesterone is quite effective against the hot flashes and morning sickness.  A souple of women have reported that when they first started to use natural progesterone they experienced a little nausea. But with the proper application this went away.     There are more and more women finding relief with the natural progesterone.  And it has NONE of the side effects of the estrogens or synthetic progestins. Hi, I’m new to this newsgroup, and have read the messages these past few days, so forgive me if I say something that’s been discussed before. I suppose I’ve been perimenopausal for about a year now.  Dr. took all the tests, so everything is normal.  The worst symptoms I’m having are the hot flashes and insomnia.   My doctor has suggested hrt, but I’d prefer not to take them unless it becomes absolutely necessary.  I’ve tried Rejuvex when they were happening on a daily basis, and it worked wonders on the flashes. But my doctor is not all for plant estrogens. For the time being, even if I don’t take the Rejuvex, the flashes are few and far between. The insomnia is bad…sometimes 3 or 4 in the morning before  I can fall asleep.  Melatonin has been wonderful for this, but now I am beginning to hear conflicting opinions about the long range effects, so I’m starting to wonder if I should continue taking that. The worst symptom, and one I’ve never heard anyone talk about, it the nausea and dizziness.  It happens almost every morning (similar to morning sickness), and sort of feels the way I did just before I used to get my period.  But this is EVERY morning.   Has anyone else experienced this?  Thanks. Donna
