writes I was just wondering, What can Jasmine be used for? A friend bought me some jasmine essential oil, and though I love the fragrence, I haven’t been able to find its uses Beware, I have read that too much Jasmine can screw up a female’s cycle and/or emotions.
its often used on cotton wool balls, like lavender to scent linen or underwear, its a scent much associated with brides, thought to bring love and luck. winter flowering jasmine has a wonderfull scent and can be used in pot pouri, or in herb sachets for drawers or cupboards, jasmine flowers make a calming and sedative tea, it helps to reduce tension and shock. as an oil its considered to be an excellent anti depressive, so its main use is as a perfume, but it is also used in sleepy pillows, the oil must be used in a carrier oil not used straight on the skin it is soothing to dry or sensitive skins. dont take jasmine oil internally its toxic, — The ‘Old Craft’ lady http://www.oldcity.demon.co.uk/shez/

<snipped Jasmine has the following properties: aphrodisiac, so it is good for impotence and frigidity. parturient & uterine – good during labour galactagogue & antidepressant – good for postnatal depression and encouraging milk flow. emmenagogue – so it balances the femae hormonal system, good for painful or scanty periods but should NOT be used on pregnant women. sedative – helps with insomnia especially if the cause is nerves, or anxiety. Other uses – apparently it is good for skin that is unbalanced or dry. It is quite grounding yet at the same time euphoric. It is good for detoxing, so may cause headaches if used too frequently. Phew! <wipes brow can’t think of anything else off-hand, but if you need more info on how to use it or more specific stuff, feel free to e-mail me. Oh yes, one more thing – it is apparently great to use in a cream for firming the bust and neck…!! HTH Gizelle — The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. Jasmine is my favorite sent as far as perfumes go. It’s tied to the planet Jupiter (if that helps). It’s most traditional spell use is to bring love. I’ve also seen mention of it being used to bring money and dreams (due to the Jupiter connection). I’ve also found that it’s a nice relaxing sent as well (perfect if you plan on having a night alone with a special someone- love, relaxation) Tacitala — )O( She changes all She touches )O( …including me

If you can find a shop that is run and stocked for Indians, (asian ) or parkistanis, then you will find their their own Jasmine oil, its not a pure oil its very diluted in vegtable oil, but its a wonderfull bath oil, it floats on water and as you get out of your bath it clings to your skin, leaving your skin soft and supple, but you do have to be carefull getting in and out of the bath its very slippery, its a bath cleaning chore, but worth it once a week or so. — The ‘Old Craft’ lady http://www.oldcity.demon.co.uk/shez/
