Neurontin Question (Long – sorry)
Question:
Sorry, the jury is still out on that one, started the Neurotonin about 2weeks ago, 600mgs, and as yet the only side effect that might be caused by this is insomnia, but not sure if that is the culprit. I still hold hope for its ability since there is much positive reporting about it. But, as with (it turns out) so many of us here who have weather related migraines, seems that not much can be done for us if the weather or barometric pressure, is fluctuating. but, as I have said, my neuro was hopeful that I may receive some relief but it is still too soon to know. my fingers are crossed for you

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hello!! I have been hanging around for a couple of weeks reading post and being amazed that there are so many other people who are unfortunate enough to understand my life. I have had headache for 10 years (24 now) and have tried countless meds and gotten more than my share of strange advise from people. I just dumped my last doctor and referred myself to a neurologist (I am lucky enough to have great insurance). I searched the web and this newsgroup and went yesterday more prepared than I have ever been to go to the doctors. I had a headache diary, migraine profile, pain chart, and a list of every med I have taken and their side effect I got. And low and behold he was a good guy (so far) It lasted about an hour and a half and he spoke to me and not at me. Seemed concern about getting my headaches, pain, and nausea under control. I am quite jazzed about it. Anyways sorry this is so long!!!!!! My question is about Neurontin. A while back someone asked about it and a couple of people seemed to be taking it. Has it worked? Side effects? So far I am very tired and nausea (not as much as usual), and very spacey but I am not sure it is too much more than usual. He also gave me Compazie? for the nausea that is misspelled I am sure. I am so glad to have found all of you (If anyone is still reading at this point
I have a great husband, understanding family, and a small but wonderful group of friends BUT it is nice to talk to people who have been there and done that. Thanks again!!!! I look forward to talking to all of you! Red

Hiya Red and Welcome. Isn’t it nice to discover a whole screen-full of people who are living your life too? After feeling like you are a freak outside of nature? Glad you found us. This ng has taught me to stop cursing each painful day and start cherishing each painfree day. And to Thank God that I even HAVE painfree days. I had no idea there were people with worse migraines than me. Now instead of feeling handicapped, I feel lucky. Total attitude change. Hope your stay here is as fruitful as mine has been. Besides which, you get to meet some really cool people. Warm hugs, Starbug
