My experience with Wellbutrin is like Twisted’s: zero. I have no idea why my doctor has me take it along with serzone. When you say it reminds you of cocaine, how so? I’ve never used it and don’t plan to. Any of you folks use serzone and what do you think? For me, it’s cleared up my head…my ruminating has cut down 90-95%. Trouble is, I haven’t grown a set of balls to allow women to meet me.
Or in English, there’s less backtalk rattling around in my head but I still find myself unable to approach women. JL

I think this falls under YMMV. Wellbutrin had ZERO effect on me. Trazadone gave me the worst headache of my life (so bad that I could not walk, and was afraid I gave myself brain damage…jury’s still out of that I guess). Prozac, same as wellbutrin. Pamolar, same still (except horrific constipation). Elavil, sweat and headache. Paxil (sexual dysfunction, exhaustion), but at least it worked for a while, the first one of all of these and many more that ever did. Most were expensive, painful failures. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Struck-in-the-head wrote in message <382747E7.A3451…@earthlink.net>… >x-no-archive: yes >Wellbutrin is very activating, it reminded me of cocaine. Well, you are right, it was pregabalin (sp). I am not participating in the study because its too much of a hassle. I have to stop taking EVERYTHING including herbs and even stop drinking beer on weekends. And if thats not enough, I have to come in once a week for the medicine. The nurse suggested Klononpin. I am really not that depressed but have terrible social phobia and A.D.D symptoms although I havent been professionally diagnosed with either. My dad takes Neurontin for something else so I could probably get a handful from him. What dosages do you take ? Is it fast acting ? Been considering Celexa & welbutrin but worried about the side effects of both. Those & Remeron are the only ones I havent tried. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

I’m pretty sure that what you’re referring to is a commercial for Paxil. The latest treatment to become popular is Neurontin, and its manufacturers are shooting for FDA approval for its successor, tentatively called Pregabilin, as a specified treatment for Social Phobia. I take Neurontin, Klonopin and two different antidepressants, Celexa and Effexor. The antidepressants make me jittery. Paxil made me jittery. The only problem is that I’m depressed all the time. I definitely think that the Klonopin and the Neurontin are helpful, but I don’t think that they’ve come up with any treatment yet that’s more than partially successful at treating SP. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->>>Struck-in-the-head >>>Feet-on-the-ground, Head-in-the-sky.

So what medicines are being investigated currently ? I saw an ad locally ….Shy ? Nervous ? Fearful ? And then it goes on to pretty much describe me. Are you bothered by Excessive shyness, Fear of rejection and so forth. I assume its a double blind study but am somewhat fearful that they are testing Paxil, which is TOXIC for me. Also, I occasionally take 5-htp. Do they know enough about what they are giving out so they wont give it to say, someone already taking an SSRI ? What happens if this medicine works for me and then the study ends ? Am I SOL ? Will I find out what I was given if anything ? Will I be able to continue taking it if i wish ? What could it be if not Paxil ? I dont tolerate the SSRIs well so I am hoping its not one of them as I would know real quick. Does this sound like Social Phobia or Social Anxiety or what ?
