Pamelor and metabolism
Question:
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Ambien works well, but it can cause personality changes. LOL Ambien causing personality changes? Come on man, what kind of personality changes does a benign drug like Ambien cause? All Ambien does is make you drowsy briefly so you can fall asleep, kind of a buzz without the hangover the next morning. Ambien is one of the best and most benign meds used in psychiatry. I can hardly see where it causes personality changes, except for maybe a little warm fuzzy buzz right before you fall asleep. Well……ughm…..I….ugh…shaved my head on it.
Response:
Well, I used to shave my head way back when in high school for wrestling practice, back before it was considered cool. I wasnt on any drugs back then. Shaving your head aint that big of a deal if you are a guy. I also used to shave my nuts…does that make me "weird?" Heck no, that don’t make you weird, my g/f won’t let me do that though. I might just surprise her one day.
Response:
A friend is taking pamelor and it is helping her insomnia. But she is also concerned about weight gain as a side effect. Is that a common side effect and , if so, are there any possible remedies? Otherwise, the pamelor has helped the insomnia and she would hate to stop it.
Response:
Yeah Pamelor can cause weight gain. Its from the anti-cholinergic side effects. There is other stuff you can use for insomnia. Ambien, Sonata…no weight gain but used long term they can be addictive. Remeron taken at bedtime is perhaps the greatest sleep aid known to man, but it causes BAD weight gain also. Eric http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FactsAndFallaciesOfDepression FIDO…Fuck It Drive On
