staying asleep
Question:
Wouldn’t it be nice to sleep all of the way through the night? A combo of Ambien and Xanax gets me to sleep, but like tonight I woke up twice, and the 3rd time I was awake enough to have to get up, and it was only 0300. Anybody found a way to stay asleep once they have gotten to sleep?

I am the biggest insomniac and the only thing that i have found to not only quiet my racing mind enough to fall asleep is to difuse Lavender Essential Oil in my bedroom. It not only helps me get to sleep but keeps me relaxed enough to sleep ALL night!! I’d say give it a try, dont know if it will work for you as it did for me, but for the $9.00 it costs its worth a try. for me, it’s a hefty dose of trazadone. i also take seroquel which is sedating and klonopin. have you ever tried a benzo with a longer half-life? ambien is great if you have trouble getting to sleep but it won’t help you stay asleep (half life of only about two hours) and xanax also has a fairly short half-life so it helps to get to sleep but not stay that way. just a thought.

Lorazapam (Ativan)[1mg], was and still the miracle cure against my insomnia. I had it for over 10 years, it stoped dead in its tracks when I started taking lorazapam a year ago. kaje a
