What a life

Question:

Hi osote, Thanks for the support.  I probably should have had dinner before posting; after re-reading the message I think it sounded like I was on speed.

Or just uptight from your experiences, or coming down from mania, etc No prob though, as you words were fine & you are in good company here.  I’m not osote & I should’ve acknowledged your first post  - sorry bout’ that. I see you are having a good one & are upset, but it does sound like you are trying to be practical & reasonable about it all. I get really intense and whacked out when there is a lot of uncertainty ahead but I’m pretty sure that’s true of most people.

Yes, this is especially true of our ilk. Yah, I suppose jobs are a little scarce but my mainspring is sprung.

I hope you’re doing better soon. Maybe a change of both your doc & meds are in order, huh. I wouldn’t worry about employment, being the electrician you are, though. I’d concentrate on you at the moment, & screw employment for the near future (at least) until you get squared away on new meds & hopefully a caring doc.  Hang around & post some more if you feel like it. There’s a few regulars hanging around still. c ya Bill,     Zero1

Hi, Bill.  Whatever works out I hope it is what’s best for you.  Jobs are hard to come by right now.  Do what you gotta do to take care of you.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I went out and rode my motorcycle around, then came back and rode my bicycle till’ I was exhausted (about 5 minutes :) ) so I am feeling a little better right now but I am having a bad week. I went to see my md and he was supposed to refer me to the pdoc next door (the guy who diagnosed me for bp2) so I go up to make an appointment with the pdoc and the crew up at the nut ward tells me they’ll have to ask doctor if he wants to see me….Really?…  When I was originally diagnosed the therapist I was seeing kind of ignored the psychotic symptoms I have, and his report to the pdoc was what the pdoc focused on when I saw him (twice) last summer. He prescribed Depakote and Ambien (big time insomnia also) No freakin’ improvement with the hallucinations and insomnia. I am taking the Ambien every night. My md says that the Ambien is no problem. Well maybe it might be a problem since I was a raging alcoholic up until the age of 40. We, the md and I, talked again about the side effects that I am getting with the Depakote. Dumb as a doorknob half the time I am. But no problem, my primary occupation is as an electrician and what the heck that’s not too dangerous. He told me that this isn’t a typical side effect, and gave me an info sheet. Aarggh. I’ve been doing office work the past 9 months and my bp is up 20 points, gained 25lbs and chewing tums and Pbismol like it was candy. I put in my notice at the office job so that is stressing me out. So my options are go back to working in a mill as an electrician or get disability and I’m a little concerned whether I am going to get any support as far as disability is concerned. I’m extremely pissed off but better than earlier. Thanks for Listenin’  Bill in Oregon
