What is the king herb?

Question:

What is that one herb that does it all, or almost does it all? I need something that will boost my immune system and reduce stress mainly. And other goodies that the herb can do. I am currently using American Ginseng, is this the right herb for me? I don’t want to be taking multiple herbs. I have also heard about Reishi, but not much research and information is available on it, except propaganda from dealers selling it. thanks for your time.

I think Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) will be a good choice. It is used for low vitality and lack of endurance and also for stress relieving. American ginseng is a good choice in summer (more yin ginseng) but in winter it’s better to take Chinese or Korean ginseng (more yang ginseng). I suggest you a good Chinese ginseng (+7 years old) on a regular base (700-1400 mg extract by day) and Siberian ginseng for stress (if needed). But stop the taking if you feel hot symptoms (hot flashes, agitation, insomnia, hypertension…). I hope this helps, Richard

Sorry, can’t think of one.  However, I have been considering what the best all-around combination supplement would be which would help the most people without a specific problem in mind, in other words, the best tonic remedy.   It addresses the most ailments with the fewest ingredients. This is a preliminary shot at it.  Parts are listed by volume, not weight.  Dosage would be 3, 2x day for the first week then 1 or 2 twice per day. Parts   Ingredient 3         Turmeric 3         Fennel seed 3         Dandelion root 2         Cat’s claw 1         Barberry root bark turf
