Jody, did I ever post this link for you http://www.ahealthyme.com/topic/fatigueprimer Has all kinds of reasons for fatigue including sleep apnea. I would print this info and take to your doctor. And as Norm mentioned once, go to bottom of page and hit the search button (lots of fatigue articles). And please excuse me if I posted this for you before, my mind has become a sieve.Mike

Jody…. I feel so sorry for you. I was bounced around and ignored for years and told, some people are like that, or it’s your age, etc. However, Paxil is a seratonin reuptake inhibitor so I think I would give it a try. If this doesn’t help, talk to the doctor about Zoloft, another inhibitor but with different structure than Paxil. I believe both of them take two to three weeks before any change is noted. Also, no change can mean a different dose is needed as well. I’m on Zoloft to balance the seratonin level and it made a complete change in me. Doctor said it would take two weeks to kick in. The beginning of the third week, I was a completly different person. I know you have been through hell, but sleep problems, thyroid, seratonin levels are all connected but it can be the chicken and the egg syndrome. Try the Paxil and see what happens. Let’s hope it helps you Regards Lee in Toronto ———–== Posted via Newsfeed.Com – Uncensored Usenet News ==———- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! —–= Over 100,000 Newsgroups – Unlimited Fast Downloads – 19 Servers =—–

Yes, when I was on tricyclic antidepressants, I had the same exact same response — it didn’t fix my apnea but it reduced the side effects. — _Deirdre http://deirdre.net A: No. Q: Should I include quotations after my reply?

Well, a little change for the better is something. I know you can’t knock down a brick wall, but you can bring it down by removing one brick at a time. ….. look up all the details on any drug at: http://www.rxlist.com/ This is a great resource on meds. Well…, at least we have to give you credit for remembering my comment on your original post <VBG>.

My husband has been on Paxil for 2 years. No lessening of it’s effectiveness. Prozac, many years ago, DID lose effectiveness for me. YMMV. Good luck and keep us updated. Have no idea if it will help you , but I did read an article where they were experimenting with ADs on patinets with sleep disorders and I , totally by accident discovered Prozac had an astonishing impact on my sleep problem . At the time , though Ive always suffered from horrific sleep problems , like most I dismissed poor sleep as a trivial thing. I just needed to get some proper rest someday though I was literally always fatigued and aching and sickly. I also had a bout of depression so I went to my HMO and he gave me Prozac. I was astonished that for the first time in my life instead having the most erratic sleeping habits and waking up with terrible pains , I suddenly started sleeping exactly at 10 PM and waking up at 8 AM as if a clock inside me was switched on. the difference was like night and day. Whereas I couldnt sleep no matter what even when I was insanely tired , I suddenly could not stay awake exactly around 10 PM no matter what I did and woke up exactly around 8 AM refreshed for the first time in decades.
