try putting a lamp with a bright light in it on a timer switch to shine on you when you want to get up — Beth in Australia =================== FAQ for alt.support.sleep-disorder can be found here http://www.anchorweb.com.au/sleepdisorders this site is a work in progress – feel free to submit info/articles

But don’t put the lamp to close to the bed. Put the lamp where you have to get out of bed to turn it off and not able to just reach over, turn it off and go back to sleep. Use a 300 watt bulb.

open the curtains as wide as possible or revise your window treatments to let more natural light in…. I like the 300 watt light on a timer across the room… works for me! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -sincitydave wrote: > I sleep in a dark and quiet basement with little light coming in. > sometimes Ill sllep through the entire alarm (2hours)and finally get > up when the alarm shuts itself off. > any suggestions on getting up would be extremly helpful > thankyou

Response:

Hook a timer up to a Tesla coil set to go off two minutes after the alarm. Run the wire along the CPAP hose to the tip of your nose. I guarantee this will condition you to listening to the alarm. "aguila" <nada@com> wrote in message
