Does Prozac Cause Sleep Disorder?

Question:

Hello I found that question very interesting.  I was on Prozac for over a year and stopped to take some other medication.  I don’t remember having a sleeping problem before I was o Prozac….Is this a true statement?  Can Prozac really cause a sleep disorder? Thanks Peggy in Arizona Peg144 (aol email address)

Careful!  What your doctor doesn’t know about sleep disorders can kill you.  For information on sleep disorders, skip past your family doctor and see a sleep specialist.  DO NOT ASK A G.P. ABOUT SLEEP DISORDERS — you will not get any useful information, and the disinformation you get can kill you. note that from: address is bogus to defeat Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) ten"tod"liamria"ta"ssenkrah ssenkraH drawoH (should be easy enough to decrypt) This is not my address, it’s for the harvest-bot: fraudi…@psinet.com

Hi everyone — Howard Lee Harkness is right in what he wrote (on the subject of Prozec). I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. We have public health care, but most consultations with a specialist require a referral from a GP. (There are a few exceptions like gynecologists.) So how do you judge a GP? For me, the answer is simple. I want someone who is humble — not reluctant to refer. This may even be a good strategy in other countries where referral is not a strict requirement.   BTW, for those with serious or multiple problems, I recommend specialists in internal medicine (internists) as their personal physician. I am told that in the US they are in fact considered primary care physicians. Chris S. mailto:christian.st…@sk.sympatico.ca
