MSM and Sleep Apnea
Question:
Anybody on this NG tried MSM for sleep apnea? I was surfing and saw something about it possibly being helpful. Supposedly it affects mucous production and tissue/ muscle tone in the upper airway. You are supposed to take it with Vitamin C to get the best results.I’m on my way to the health food store right now, so I will let you know how it goes. I’m not expecting much, but (I’m sure this is a familiar sentiment) I’m willing to try anything at this point.
Response:
Sounds like Viagra for the throat muscles – which, when you think about it, might be what an eventual treatment could look like. (and the chemical for it is probably lurking in the rain forests currently in danger) (g) >>Anybody on this NG tried MSM for sleep apnea? I was surfing and saw

Just as an FYI: If you want to take MSM (it is supposed to also help arthiritis), my boyfriend sells it as a preparation that comes with emu oil. I can process orders at dyna…@mail.com. If there is an interest, send me the order and I will get you more information. If there’s not an interest, realize I’m here more for sleep disorder issues than for sales. I don’t know if you remember DMSO, it was a foul-smelling liquid, a solvent, that was popular several years ago and is still used by athletic trainers as a topical linament. MSM is related to that stuff, but it can be taken internally. It is supposed to stimulate sulpher production in the body or something like that. I have been taking it about 3 weeks now, haven’t noticed any effects yet. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -alannorths…@blahblahblahmindspring.com wrote: > Near the end of the millennium, on Sun, 19 Sep 1999 12:20:19 -0700, > sjconro <sjco…@velocityhsi.com> gave this insight: > :Anybody on this NG tried MSM for sleep apnea?
