Sleep disorder question…

Question:

Do you exercise at night? If so maybe you should try doing your exercises in the morning Early. And something more relaxing in the evening. Some people like me need to relax in the evening before bed time.

For the past few years, I’ve been having an odd problem with sleep and exercise. If get a very minimal amount of exercise during the day/week, I can sleep fine usually. If I begin my exercise routine(which is a VERY small routine now), I’tll slowly bring on sleeping problems. After about a week of exercising or so, I’ll begin to stop being able to sleep properly. It’ll start taking me forever to get to sleep, and when I do sleep, i’ll wake up after an hour or two. Problem is, I like to workout and keep fit. I am thin, and up until I started having sleeping problems I was always in good condition. With this problem, I cannot keep doing my exercise routines unless I don’t want to sleep. It’s not like I’m overtraining either. My last episode that brought on sleep problems, I was doing calisthenics. 2 sets of 15 pushups, situps, squats, pullups. Every other day. After a week of doing that, my sleep problems really started to hit. Once these sleeping problem symptoms start, I quit pretty much all exercise and within a few daysto a week or so I can start to sleep normally again. I had my thyroid checked not too long ago, but the test was taken when I was sleeping normally and felt somewhat ok. My thyroid results came out ok, but some numbers were at the very upper end of what was considered normal. So don’t think it’s my thyroid causing the issue, but I really don’t know.
