Weird sleep pattern.
Question:
I’m 18 and I don’t know if I have a sleep disorder or not… some docs said that I did, but they are always mis-diagnosing things so I don’t know if I trust them =) Anyway, what I have found is that for some reason whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, I always end up feeling a lot more refreshed the next morning. Once I tried setting my alarm so that I would wake up about every two hours, and the next morning I felt so full of energy, it made no sense! Even when it’s not deliberate, if I wake up in the middle of the night repeatedly, I wake up earlier the next morning more easily. To contrast this, I slept from 12:00am to 10:00am this morning, went back to bed, woke up around 1:00pm, went back to sleep and then finally got up around 4:00pm. The recurrent theme seems to be that sleeping 10 hours for me is equivalent to sleeping 3 or 4 hours for some reason. If it’s constant sleep for a long period of time, it seems to work about as well as intermittent sleep. Anyone have anything to say that might shed light on this? For a long time I just thought I had bad sleep hygiene, but even when I try to establish a regular sleep pattern, sleeping 10 hours seems to feel the same as sleeping 3 or 4. Some help would be greatly appreciated =)

If you regularly slept 3-4 hours for a certain period of time, say 2 weeks, how do you feel after that? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -stretchycord wrote: > I’m 18 and I don’t know if I have a sleep disorder or not… > some docs said that I did, but they are always mis-diagnosing things > so I don’t know if I trust them =) > Anyway, what I have found is that for some reason whenever I > wake up in the middle of the night, I always end up feeling a lot more > refreshed the next morning.
