What a wonderful newsgroup
Question:
Can I say what a wonderful newsgroup this is – with many people giving up much time to answer questions and provide support. It really is something to be proud of! (I had better post this quickly, before I get all embarrassed and have second thoughts.) Geoff
Response:
That it is. This newsgroup helped me get my first sleep study and since I have another problem besides sleep apnea, I would have quit using it if not for this group. There is a fine group of people here. **** Posted from RemarQ – http://www.remarq.com – Discussions Start Here ™ ****

I know I would not be alive if it were’nt for this ng. I got my cpap before I found this ng, but had problems getting adjusted to it and there was no, abso-smurfly no, support anywhere. People cannot listen to you talk about sleep disorder, because every person alive thinks they have sleep disorders. It I would start talking about my sleep problems to a friend, each one would announce that they couldn’d sleep well either, and family just didn’t want to hear about it. So I felt so alone, you just couldn’t believe it….oh yea, you could believe it, cause you were in my exact same boat probably. So I found this group a few months after I got my cpap, and I was gloriously surprised to find people in cyberspace care about me and my sleep disorder. I know if I didn’t stay with my cpap, I would not be here to talk about it. I was headed for doomesville. My oxygen level was 74 when I was tested and I know that has effected my memory and other mindful things in my life, but I am so grateful to be breathing while sleeping. Yesterday I had my pressure increased by 2, and I slept much better last night, and woke up this morning comfortably. Sorry for taking so long to say that this Is a wonderful group, by golly. Deb
