Ever have a dream

Question:

It’s not a dream, it’s called sleep paralysis.  It happens to some people. Not usualy a sign of anything serious. Thanks, Mike — To reply via email remove the (SPAM_BLOCKER) from my email address:

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Twice in my life I’ve had this dream that scared the crap out of me.  I was sleeping, but very awake in my mind and unable to move or awaken my body. It was like my soul was split from my body and trying to peel away from it. I didn’t want to sleep afterwards. Which had a resonance, a power, which made you afraid to ever sleep again? I had one recently. The closest thing to it I can think of is the hallucination described by Manchester in "Goodbye Darkness" in the opening scenes regarding the corpse. But it was worse. It transforms the waking world and bleeds the very life out of it. One may say, we must embrace that aspect of reality. But it was inimical to all that we call alive, or sane, it cannot be embraced. Like many ex spouses. Just curious. Sid

I thought I had a bad dream once…, after I fell asleep I realized it was actually just my life at the time! John
