Riv. of No Return-Where in Canada?

Question:

OK OK I know the Salmon is in Idaho but I was just watching the epic movie classic "River of No Return" with still eye popping Marilyn Monroe and sleepwalking Robert Mitchum and noticed that river has some pretty good drops.  The video tape cover says it was filmed in Banff and Jasper Nat. Parks in Canada. What river is this?  My guess might be the Bow, Athabasca,Milange or maybe the Blaeberry?  What do I know?  I’ve never boated there. We are looking forward to our first Canadian whitewater trip at the end of this month and I hope some of you hosers can answer this bit of movie trivia so we can  try to reenact some of the wooden raft’s mystery moves. I’s say, take off hosehead down the Athabasca.  That’s where I heard they shot that flick.  We floated it on a commercial day run one time in late September and that was way too late for any water.  We coulda done in an open canoe by then so hurry up, aye. Dave
